On a rainy day, the team of volunteers at Feeding Hearts did not let the weather dampen their spirits as they served our brothers and sisters in Christ at Martin Place, Sydney on Saturday, 25th March 2023. We were blessed to have our Bishop, His Grace Mar Mari Emmanuel of Christ The Good Shepherd Church in attendance to serve the needy alongside our volunteers.
As we said Grace before the meal, we were reminded of how fortunate we are to have food, while many others struggle with food security around the world. We thank our Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ, for the opportunity to serve our neighbours and for our tender-hearted volunteers and sponsors who made this fortnightly feed possible, including Good360 Australia, Foodbank Australia, and Food Angel who graciously provided some necessary Sunday Resurrection hampers.
Let us hold on to the words of our Lord Jesus Christ quoted in the Gospels of Saint Matthew 25:35, “For I was hungry and you gave me something to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me something to drink, I was a stranger and you invited me in”.
